Calling all artists, arts organizations, cultural workers, heritage sites and tribal communities.
It’s never too early to be prepared: New Mexico Arts is partnering with NCAPER, the National Coalition for Arts’ Preparedness and Emergency Response, to bring you information about how to negotiate the pathways to resources for disasters and methods to being prepared for a disaster to your studio, museum, nonprofit organizations, and venues.
Please join us via Zoom and meet our guest speaker, Janet Newcomb, a leader in the arts and nonprofit industry. For more information on NCAPER, visit their web site at www.NCAPER.org. Come prepared with any questions you may have such as:
How do I access resources after a disaster?
Should I contact FEMA directly?
What are the best ways for an organization or artist to prepare for a weather-related (or other) emergency?
What types of arts institutions and cultural workers qualify for support?
NCAPER’s mission: Promoting readiness and effective emergency response for the arts sector by supporting arts responders’ training and ongoing education, building relationships between the arts sector and general emergency management field, and advancing the arts as a vital component of community health and recovery.
