A Season Of Change: Winter

Friday, February 23rd, 2026 through Thursday, April 24th, 2026

Santa Fe's changing seasons and magical light have lured artists here for millennia. The collection of works presented in this exhibition invite the imagination to wander through time, across the vast lands and deep into the sacred waters and soil where roots connect and sustain us through the quietude. Winter calls us to reassess, rest, rejuvenate and contemplate where to spend our energies in the exuberance of Spring.

Nate Laws' Desert Daughter stands alone beside a leafless tree as if contemplating the journey ahead, or perhaps searching the land for signs of things to come. The subtle watercolors of Stan Berning's local landscapes reflect a quiet sense of peace and solitude, while James Tsoodle's He Falls On The Crow Like Lightning evokes the thunder of a hundred horses crossing the plains. Tracy King's abstract Santa Ana Embers, speaks of renewal and transformation as Abram's Indigo Pond and Polzin's Animas call forth the mysteries held in still waters and the network of roots, like nerves, soothed by the Earth's cool embrace.

Visitors are encouraged to engage with the rich layers of culture, history, and personal storytelling that these works reveal. All pieces are available for purchase through their representing galleries, offering a chance to bring a piece of Santa Fe’s dynamic artistic heritage home. Whether you are new to the city or a returning traveler, A Season Of Change: Winter invites you to reflect on the faith, resilience, and creative energy that define this extraordinary place.
