About the Event

Sage Creek Gallery presents artists; Scott Rogers, Jane Chavez, Sue Krzyston & Andrew Roda in a new show. Celebrate Native American Heritage and the West opens Friday, August 19th , 5-7 PM. There is an opening reception on Friday evening and a celebration Saturday, August 20th 10AM- 3PM where the artists will be present and you will be able to observe their respective creative processes.

The show coincides with a week of activities during Indian Market. Artists will be in the gallery.

Bronze Artist Scott Rogers will be sculpting in the gallery from August 12-20, 10 AM to 4 PM. Scott’s greatest joy is connecting with history and envisioning stories for his bronzes. He has a reverence for the Native American traditions and culture which are embed in his art.

“It is the feeling beyond the form that creates the magic” - Scott Rogers

Oil painter, Andrew Roda describes his art as Western Realism, often painting subject matter larger than life. His art has a contemporary vibe and the images are arresting.

Jane Chavez's unique fiber art developed from a passion for baskets, horses and metal work. Each creation is a design of horsehair precisely woven into jewels of art, sometimes embellished with turquoise, beads and feathers.

Oil painter, Sue Krzyston is a collector of Native American artifacts. She combines this passion with creating still life paintings of the pottery, blankets and other Native American artifacts. Her paintings are a tribute to the Native American heritage.

Indian Market is always an exciting time in Santa Fe. This year Sage Creek Gallery is delighted to host our artists creating work and sharing their adventures in making art with collectors and visitors to the gallery.
