From Realism to Abstract - Retrospective and New Works byMcCreery L. Jordan
A seven year old girl walks into the Toledo Museum of Art and is smitten by the old masters whose works will become her lifelong friends. At 10, she is sent home from school for drawing her fifth grade teacher, Miss Vogelson, as she imagined her in the nude and passing the drawing around the class.
From Santa Fe to the South of France to Buenos Aires, McCreery L. Jordan has become an internationally known artist who has spent decades exploring all aspects and medium of art, and still enjoys painting and sculpting people. Her extraordinary accomplishments, her styles, ranging from realism to abstract from past to present, all rendered expertly, carry her singular signature and lyrical poetic touch speak to the range of McCreery’s work. One wonders how many artists inhabit her studio. Gaia Contemporary on Canyon Road is pleased to present a retrospective of McCreery L Jordan’s work from June 3, 2022 through June 28, 2022. McCreery will be present at the artist’s reception on June 3 from 5 to 7 pm.
