The excitement in Santa Fe is palpable as the state's new contemporary art museum prepares to open to the public tomorrow. The new space affords more room for exhibitions and storage of New Mexico's enviable collection of art as well as allowing for increased programming and community outreach. We are delighted to celebrate this addition to the art scene in Santa Fe.
Tonight, Canyon Road is the place to explore as new shows open, up and down the road. Meyer Gallery is hosting an opening reception for Robert La Duke at the entrance to Canyon Road with Edition ONE opening And This I Saw In Dreams an exhibition of works by Alexandra Eldridge & Liza MacKinnon at the top of the road.
One of Santa Fe's favorites opens mid-road with Kevin Box and Nathaneel Gray at Kay Contemporary, Nüart presents new works from Erin Cone, and an exhibition of Elizabeth Hahn's work hangs at Art Is. Just off Canyon is Andrea Cermanski's opening reception for Tumbleweed Love Affair, an innovative body of work featuring pigments derived from the ashes of the iconic, invasive weed.
If you miss these openings and events, don't miss these shows. Exhibition dates vary, please see individual listings for details and directions.
