| Upcoming Events | Fiesta For The Eyes Opening Reception Friday September 10th from 5:00-7:00 pm In keeping with the Santa Fe Fiesta theme, we are happy to showcase three talented local artists. James Klebau’s photography is often described as mysterious, beautiful and timeless. Inspired by the Southwest and locations in Maryland, Klebau’s extensive professional photographic history includes visits to the Berlin Wall, NASA’s first lunar mission splash- down in the Pacific, an Emmy Award for an ABC TV documentary, and several presidential assignments including covering Lyndon B. Johnson. Larry Ogan’s Southwest landscapes are bold, crisp depictions of the environs of New Mexico; sharply- focused, tightly cropped, expressing the stark, arid landscapes with emotion and clarity. Paula Wenzl Bellacera, a part- time Santa Fean and prolific oil painter, expresses her love of cacti and her cacti garden at her studio in her recent works. Bellacera’s sensitive depictions of the spiny cacti have a lyrical, figurative quality. In rich, luscious colors these paintings evoke in the viewer the dichotomy between the touch of delicate flesh and sharp spines. September 10th through September 23rd Indian Summer: A fall portrait of New Mexico Opening Reception Friday September 24th from 5:00-7:30pm Arroyo is excited to showcase recent and significant works by Santa Fean painter Paul Steiner. The paintings showcased in this “Indian Summer” exhibition chronicle Paul’s evolution from formally influenced landscapes and still- lifes, to personalized expressions of New Mexican landscapes and, most recently, introducing the figurative into compositions that capture our beautiful, thought- provoking and intriguing southwestern life and land.
